Preschool Classes

Junior Nursery Class

  • Ages: 2.5 to 3.5 years old
  • Duration: 3 hour class routine
“In our class, we learn that there is a larger world outside our home. We learn how to play with others and make friends. We listen to stories, paint and learn how to do things on our own. We learn about letters and numbers through stories and games. We have a lot of fun in school!”

The goal of the Junior Nursery class is to help children in their transition from their immediate home environment to a much larger world called the preschool by nurturing their budding independence and interest in other children. Plenty of opportunities are given for children to play and interact freely with their peers, and at the same time learn early academic concepts (Reading, Math, Science and Social Studies) through stories, games and other hands-on activities. The development of creativity and self-help skills are likewise encouraged and nurtured through unstructured but guided activities. Simple prayers are likewise introduced to the children.

Senior Nursery Class

  • Ages: 3.6 to 4.5 years old
  • Duration: 3 hour class routine
“At Little Saints, Senior Nursery kids do more and more things on their own. We can now write better, identify more letters and numbers, ask questions about everything! We are often in the “house area” pretending to be cooks and waiters.”

The goal of the Senior Nursery class is to assist children in discovering their God-given skills and gifts, and to develop their eagerness and drive to learn more about the world God made. With plenty of opportunities for self-expression and socialization with others, children learn that they can do many things on their own and with others. Concepts and skills are learned through fun and interactive activities which makes the children excited for school every day!

Kindergarten Class

  • Level: Kindergarten
  • Ages: 4.6 to 5.5 years old
  • Duration: 3 hour class routine
“We are getting smarter by the day! We can now read simple words and we talk to each other a lot. We talk and plan about our mini projects, such as building a ship using blocks. We do research about what we need, use our drawing and writing skills in making maps. We can work as a team!”

This class, which is rich in projects and field trips, hones children's critical-thinking and academic skills. The learning experiences broaden the child's awareness of social community. Children learn to pray daily and independently, while creatively exploring their Catholic faith. The goal of the program is to guide children in how they can use their God-given skills to discover, learn and contribute to and serve their community. They emerge from this class equipped with skills, confidence and a sense of hope and anticipation for what awaits them in their young lives.
